The RoHS Directive states that from 1st July 2006 new electrical and electronic equipment shipped in to the marketplace must comply with the directive. TH Comms has been working closely with its suppliers to obtain certification for it’s full product range.
The Directive Restrictions:

Quantity limit 0.1% of weight (1000ppm) of any homogeneous material:
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI)
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) & Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
Quantity limit 0.1% of weight (100ppm) of any homogeneous material:

TH Comms has identified how the new directive impacts on the TH Comms product offerings and subsequently our customers. We can confirm the new RoHS directive only applies to new hardware purchased by TH Comms after the 1st July 2006.
All electrical and electronic equipment supplied prior to the 1st July and ongoing servicing and refurbishment of these units are exempt from the directive.
In the past, lead was used for the soldering of the pager components, however TH Comms have discontinued the use of lead soldering for a more environmentally friendly substance, tin copper alloy.
TH Comms would like to reassure and confirm to our customers, that from the 1 st July 2006 all the products and services supplied by TH Communications are compliant or exempt from the RoHS Directive.
